This is a photo the day I brought Izzy home. Not as much as my kids, but I will probably write a lot about Izzy, our deaf boxer. I got her from a breeder and because she is deaf, she could not be AKC registered. the sad part, breeders cannot sell deaf dogs, they can only be given away or destroyed, sad! We of course know she is deaf, but we talk to her anyway, and sometimes when she cocks her head to one-side, we wonder if she really is deaf. But unlike humans, there is no hearing test for dogs, we were told that sometimes they have some hearing in one ear, but we don't think Izzy does. it doesn't matter, she is precious and we enjoy her.
